Neighbourhood, women's, youth, hometown, cultural or charity association: a QR code opens a JeliCard that presents your work, keeps your members informed and calls for support.

**Who it's for** : Neighbourhood associations, Women's groups, Youth associations, Hometown and diaspora associations, Charities, Tontines and mutual societies

## The problem: an association few people know

Your work is useful, but few people know what you do, how to join you or how to help.

- **Little visibility** No website, no communication budget.
- **Members poorly informed** Meetings, general assemblies and dues get lost in messages.
- **Members far away** The diaspora and travelling members struggle to follow the association's life.
- **Support hard to win** Partners and donors want to see your work and your results.

## What the JeliCard can hold

- **About — Who are we?** Aims, committee, history, photos, a voice message from the president.
- **Work — What we do** Current projects, photos and videos of activities, audio testimonies.
- **Members — Internal life** Date of the next meeting, agenda, minutes, dues.
- **Join — Become a member or volunteer** Conditions, a link to the membership form, contact.
- **Support — Make a donation** Current needs, how to give (your payment methods, written in the text), an activity report for partners.

## What Jèli gives you

- **A free showcase** A complete page for your association, with no website and no fees.
- **Members kept informed** People who opened the JeliCard in the Jèli app get a notification when you edit it.
- **In every language** Voice messages for members who don't read French.
- **The diaspora connected** One link to share: wherever they are, members follow your work.
- **More credibility** Photos, minutes and reports reassure partners.
- **Free and ad-free** People see only your association.

## Your JeliCards travel around the world

A JeliCard is shared in one move: by text message, on social media, by email, on the internet, or simply by scanning the QR code from one phone to another. Your message travels across time and distance, and reaches every audience, here and elsewhere.

## What about Instagram, TikTok, WhatsApp?

These tools are excellent, and you probably use them already. Jèli does not replace them: it does a different job.

### Instagram and TikTok — The networks that help people discover you

- **Ideal for** showing your news in photos and videos, and reaching new audiences.
- **Information** lives in a feed: new posts push the old ones down.
- **Access** mostly needs the app and an account; the algorithm decides who sees what.
- **Around it** other content and ads are shown too.

### WhatsApp — The messaging app that gets people talking

- **Ideal for** everyday conversations, answering questions, running a group.
- **Information** lives in a conversation: messages pile up and old ones are quickly lost.
- **Access** means having your number or being in the group.
- **Around it** are all the person's other conversations.

### Jèli — The reference page, in the right place

- **Ideal for** information that must stay available, attached to an object, a poster or a place.
- **Information** lives on a stable page: always in the same place, always up to date.
- **Access** takes a simple scan, with no account and no app.
- **Around it** no ads and no one else's content: only your message and your other JeliCards.

Social media shows your news, and WhatsApp keeps the members' group lively. Jèli gathers the essentials in one place: who you are, your work, how to join or give. A new member or a partner understands everything in one scan, without scrolling back through months of messages.

**It's not one or the other.** Put the links to your Instagram, TikTok and WhatsApp accounts in the text of your JeliCard, and share your JeliCard on your networks: each tool does what it does best.

## How to do it

One JeliCard for the association, then one for each major project.

1. **Create** the JeliCard with an introduction, the committee and a voice message from the leader.
2. **Add** your work with photos, videos and testimonies.
3. **Print the QR code** on your posters, banners, membership cards and receipts.
4. **Share** the link on WhatsApp with members and the diaspora.
5. **Invite** everyone to open the JeliCard in the Jèli app, so they are notified.
6. **Publish** meetings, minutes and results throughout the year.
7. **Show** the JeliCard to partners and donors.

## Obstacles, and how to get past them

- **Not everyone has a smartphone** A relative, a seller or a community relay can scan and play it for them. The printed material still makes sense on its own.
- **Costly data, weak network** Short voice messages, light images, no app to download: the JeliCard opens fast, even with little data.
- **Few people know QR codes** Add the words “Scan to listen” and show the gesture once: after that, everyone knows how.
- **Who does the updates?** Name one person in charge: a few minutes on the phone are enough, with no reprinting.
- **Volunteers have little time** A JeliCard can be updated in a few minutes from a phone.
- **Members' privacy** Never publish a list of members or any personal data.

## Our tips

- Add a voice message in a national language to reach all members.
- Publish the minutes after each general assembly: transparency builds trust.
- Keep your list of needs up to date to make giving easier.
- Thank your supporters publicly on the JeliCard.
- Don't forget your business card: your name and a QR code that leads to all your activities.

> A banner announces your name. The JeliCard tells everything your association does.
