Hotel, inn, guesthouse, camp, rental flat: a QR code in the room or at the entrance opens the welcome booklet: Wi-Fi, house rules, equipment, favourite places and useful numbers.

**Who it's for** : Hotels, Inns and camps, Guesthouses, Furnished rentals, Student residences, Lodges and eco-lodges

## The problem: always the same questions

Wi-Fi code, breakfast time, how the air conditioning works: reception answers the same questions a hundred times, and the paper folder gets damaged or disappears.

- **Repeated questions** Staff are constantly interrupted for the same information.
- **Worn paper booklet** It gets lost, stained, and is never up to date.
- **Guests from abroad** They don't always read the booklet's language.
- **Good places missed** Travellers know neither the neighbourhood nor what it offers.

## What the JeliCard can hold

- **Welcome — The welcome message** A voice welcome message, the Wi-Fi code, check-in and check-out times.
- **House — Rules and equipment** Air conditioning, hot water, kitchen, safe, washing machine: how it works, on video.
- **Services — What we offer** Breakfast, meals, laundry, excursions, transfers, with prices.
- **Neighbourhood — Our favourite places** Restaurants, markets, pharmacy, cash machine, sights to visit.
- **Emergency — Useful numbers** Reception, taxi, doctor, police, fire brigade, embassy.

## What Jèli gives you

- **Fewer questions** Your guests find the answers on their own, at any hour.
- **Always up to date** A new Wi-Fi code, a new service: you change the JeliCard.
- **Every language** One voice message per language, and the booklet's text translates with one tap.
- **Guests who come back** People who opened the JeliCard in the Jèli app are notified when you edit it: a new offer, a new service.
- **More sales** Your excursions and services become better known.
- **Free and ad-free** Your guests see only your place.

## Your JeliCards travel around the world

A JeliCard is shared in one move: by text message, on social media, by email, on the internet, or simply by scanning the QR code from one phone to another. Your message travels across time and distance, and reaches every audience, here and elsewhere.

## What about Instagram, TikTok, WhatsApp?

These tools are excellent, and you probably use them already. Jèli does not replace them: it does a different job.

### Instagram and TikTok — The networks that help people discover you

- **Ideal for** showing your news in photos and videos, and reaching new audiences.
- **Information** lives in a feed: new posts push the old ones down.
- **Access** mostly needs the app and an account; the algorithm decides who sees what.
- **Around it** other content and ads are shown too.

### WhatsApp — The messaging app that gets people talking

- **Ideal for** everyday conversations, answering questions, running a group.
- **Information** lives in a conversation: messages pile up and old ones are quickly lost.
- **Access** means having your number or being in the group.
- **Around it** are all the person's other conversations.

### Jèli — The reference page, in the right place

- **Ideal for** information that must stay available, attached to an object, a poster or a place.
- **Information** lives on a stable page: always in the same place, always up to date.
- **Access** takes a simple scan, with no account and no app.
- **Around it** no ads and no one else's content: only your message and your other JeliCards.

Social media attracts travellers, and WhatsApp is for answering bookings. Once in the room, your guest needs the welcome booklet: the QR code gives it to them straight away, without searching through messages.

**It's not one or the other.** Put the links to your Instagram, TikTok and WhatsApp accounts in the text of your JeliCard, and share your JeliCard on your networks: each tool does what it does best.

## How to do it

One welcome JeliCard, then one per room if needed.

1. **List** your guests' most frequent questions.
2. **Film** how the equipment works.
3. **Write** the rules, the services and your favourite places.
4. **Record** a voice welcome message.
5. **Create** the welcome booklet on the JeliCard.
6. **Place the QR code** in each room, at reception and on the key.
7. **Update** whenever a service or a price changes.

## Obstacles, and how to get past them

- **Not everyone has a smartphone** A relative, a seller or a community relay can scan and play it for them. The printed material still makes sense on its own.
- **Costly data, weak network** Short voice messages, light images, no app to download: the JeliCard opens fast, even with little data.
- **Few people know QR codes** Add the words “Scan to listen” and show the gesture once: after that, everyone knows how.
- **Wi-Fi code visible to all** Change it regularly and update the JeliCard.
- **Guests in a hurry** Put the essentials at the top: Wi-Fi, times, reception number.
- **Several languages to manage** Start with French and English, then add voice messages in other languages.

## Our tips

- Place the QR code next to the bed or on the door: that's where people look for it.
- Put the Wi-Fi code first: it's the first question.
- Add your excursions and services with their prices: they sell better.
- Change the Wi-Fi code regularly and update it on the JeliCard.
- Don't forget your business card: your name and a QR code that leads to all your activities.

> The folder in the room gets worn and lost. The JeliCard welcomes every guest, in their own language.
