# A leaflet you can read and listen to.

> A QR code on the box or bottle explains by voice, in national languages, how to use the product, with the right gestures in pictures and who to contact.

Medicines, cosmetics, hygiene products, food supplements, slimming products… A QR code on the box, the bottle or the leaflet opens a JeliCard: everyone hears in their own language how to use the product, sees the gestures in pictures and knows who to contact.

**Who it's for** : Laboratories, Local manufacturers, Cosmetics brands, Sellers and distributors, Pharmacies and drugstores, Herbalists, Public health programmes

## The problem: a leaflet few people read

The leaflet or label is long, in small print, often in French or a foreign language. Many people rely on what the seller told them at the counter.

- **Print too small** Older and visually impaired people can't read the leaflet or the label.
- **Only one language** Someone who doesn't read French understands neither the instructions nor the precautions.
- **Tricky gestures** Inhaler, children's syrup, hair treatment, cream to measure out: text alone is not enough.
- **Misuse** Too much, too often, wrongly combined: a product used the wrong way doesn't work, and can even be dangerous.

## What the JeliCard can hold

- **Use — How to use it** A voice message in national languages: when, how much, for how long, how to apply.
- **Gestures — The right gestures** Pictures or video: using an inhaler, measuring a child's dose, applying a treatment.
- **Precautions — What to avoid** Contraindications, allergies, pregnancy, children, keeping it away from heat.
- **Ingredients — What's inside** Ingredients, origin, a photo of the leaflet to zoom in on, or a link to the official product sheet.
- **Contacts — Who to call** An information number to tap and call, reporting a side effect, where to buy, a link to the brand's website.

## What Jèli gives you

- **Understood by everyone** Everyone hears the instructions in their own language, even without being able to read.
- **Readable for the visually impaired** The text can be enlarged on the phone, and audio replaces reading.
- **No app needed** A scan with the phone's camera, nothing to install.
- **Updates without reprinting** New information is corrected on the JeliCard; the printed QR code stays the same.
- **Trust and loyalty** Clear information reassures people, and those who opened the JeliCard in the Jèli app are notified when you edit it.
- **Free and ad-free** No ads: the person who scans sees only your product's information.

## Your JeliCards travel around the world

A JeliCard is shared in one move: by text message, on social media, by email, on the internet, or simply by scanning the QR code from one phone to another. Your message travels across time and distance, and reaches every audience, here and elsewhere.

## How to do it

Start with one product, then extend to the whole range.

1. **Choose** the product and the languages of the people you want to reach.
2. **Prepare** the content from the leaflet or the official product sheet.
3. **Have** the texts and translations approved by a qualified professional.
4. **Record** the voice messages and make the pictures or video of the gestures.
5. **Create the JeliCard** and test it on several phones.
6. **Print the QR code** on the box, the bottle or the leaflet, with the words “Scan to listen”.
7. **Update** as soon as any information changes.

## Obstacles, and how to get past them

- **Not everyone has a smartphone** A relative, a seller or a community relay can scan and play it for them. The printed material still makes sense on its own.
- **Costly data, weak network** Short voice messages, light images, no app to download: the JeliCard opens fast, even with little data.
- **Few people know QR codes** Add the words “Scan to listen” and show the gesture once: after that, everyone knows how.
- **Regulatory compliance** The content only repeats the information authorised for the product, and it is approved by a qualified person.
- **Accurate translations** Each voice message is checked by a health professional who speaks the language.
- **Counterfeiting** The JeliCard informs; it does not authenticate the product: keep your usual anti-counterfeiting measures.

## Our tips

- Keep the paper leaflet or label: the JeliCard adds to it, it does not replace it.
- Stick strictly to the information authorised for the product.
- Only claim proven effects: no promises of cures or miracle weight loss.
- Have every translation checked by a health professional.
- Never publish any personal data about a patient or a person who buys.
- Don't forget your business card: your name and a QR code that leads to all your activities.

> The leaflet informs those who read it. The JeliCard explains the product to everyone, in their own language.
